News India Live, Digital Desk: Challenging the law and order in Bihar, criminals created a huge ruckus in two different districts on Tuesday. In Muzaffarpur and Begusarai, fearless miscreants brutally killed two people by firing and using sharp weapons in broad daylight. After these incidents, there is an atmosphere of panic in the entire area and serious questions are being raised on the working style of the local police administration.

Muzaffarpur: Bullets fired in land dispute, one dead

The thunder of bullets echoed in the Sadar police station area of Muzaffarpur district on Tuesday morning. According to the information, criminals targeted a person over an old land dispute. According to eyewitnesses, the bike-riding attackers fired indiscriminately, in which the victim was hit by several bullets. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After the incident, angry villagers protested by blocking the road and demanded immediate arrest of the accused.

Begusarai: Sarerah youth killed

The second major incident took place in Begusarai district, which is also known as ‘Leningrad’ of Bihar. Here the criminals surrounded a young man and attacked him brutally. The attackers not only fired bullets but also attacked with sharp weapons, due to which the young man died on the spot. According to the preliminary investigation of the police, this case seems to be a case of mutual enmity. Police have taken possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem and are examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area.

Increasing crime and challenge of police in Bihar

These two major murders on Tuesday have exposed the claims of ‘good governance’ in Bihar. The opposition parties have attacked the government and alleged that the fear of police has completely vanished from the minds of criminals. Both Muzaffarpur and Begusarai are sensitive districts, hence two murders in a single day shows the failure of the police. The DGP office has sought detailed reports from the captains of both the districts and a special raid team (SIT) has been formed.

Crying condition of family members in bad condition, stressful situation

There is chaos in the houses of the dead. The family alleges that they had earlier also complained to the police about the threat to their lives, but no concrete action was taken. At present the situation at both the places is tense but under control. A large number of police forces have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Police claim that some suspects have been identified and soon the main accused will be behind the bars.
