Blast in illegal gas warehouse, six people including two children injured

Lucknow, 06 December (HS). There was a massive explosion during refilling of LPG in an illegal warehouse in Dubagga, Lucknow late on Friday night. Six people including two children were injured in the accident. Everyone has been admitted to the trauma center. The police team is busy investigating the case.

DCP West Omveer Singh told journalists that people have come to know that an illegal warehouse of LPG was built in the house of Rohit Gupta, resident of Mardapur, a week ago. Here on Friday night, people were refilling gas from commercial cylinders to domestic cylinders. Meanwhile, there was a loud explosion. The explosion was so powerful that people came out of their homes. The tin of the warehouse was blown away and there were cracks on the walls.

Apart from laborers Mohit Gupta, Shobhit Gupta, Somnath Vishwakarma and Ranjit, residents of Adarsh ​​Vihar Thakurganj, Mohd., son of neighbor Mohammad Siraj, died in the accident. Zeeshan (05) and daughter Ayesha (07) were injured. Police arrived on the information of local people and admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment. After the incident, warehouse owner Ashok Gupta fled from the spot.

DCP said that fire brigade and police teams have found a huge quantity of gas cylinders from the spot. He told that there was a gas explosion, but the gas cylinder did not explode. If the cylinder had burst, a major accident could have occurred. At present the investigation of the case is going on.
