Mirzapur, 29 August (HS). District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan on Thursday reached Public Works Department Construction Block-2 and conducted a surprise inspection. Instructing the Executive Engineer, she said that if after the tender for all such approved works, bonds have not been made, then action should be taken to blacklist them.
During the inspection, the Assistant Accountant and the Senior Clerk were found having unnecessary conversation in Abhinesh Singh's room. The District Magistrate reprimanded the senior clerk and directed him to sit in his room. During the inspection of the tender counter of the office, the Assistant Clerk showed the files of the tender etc. It was found in the tender files that even after the tender in November 2023, the bond has not been made yet.
The District Magistrate while expressing displeasure on the concerned desk assistant, directed the Executive Engineer Construction Block-2 present on the spot to provide a list of all such approved works for which bond has not been made after the tender. If the bond is not being filled then take action to blacklist it. He directed to provide detailed details of how much work was done in relation to the amount received for patch repair and the payment and remaining amount. He directed to show the details of other vehicles including roller of the department and the expenditure on it and lockbook etc. and also to submit the details of state finance, ODR and other funds.
