BJP will enroll members in three phases in membership campaign | News India

Ayodhya, 4 September (HS). A press conference was held at the Circuit House regarding the membership campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the press conference, State General Secretary and Awadh region in-charge Sanjay Rai said that there is internal democracy in the BJP. According to the party's constitution, membership is for 6 years. In which there is a tenure of two presidents. In the membership campaign, from becoming a member to the election of booth, division, district, state and national president, everything is done.

He said that there is no democracy in SP and Congress. A person from the same family will become the president there. Anyone can become the president in BJP. He told that the current state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary started working as Mandal President. He told that BJP started the digital membership campaign in 2014-15 and ran a special membership campaign in 2017 and a membership campaign in 2019. In the membership campaign of 2014-15, 1.86 crore people became members of the BJP family in Uttar Pradesh. In 2019, 90 lakh additional people were enrolled. In the membership campaign run during the 2022 assembly elections, membership of women, scheduled castes and youth was done. During this period, 30 lakh new members were made. From 2015 to 2022, 3.03 crore members were made in the state, out of which verification of 1.83 crore was also done.

He informed that the campaign was started at the national level on September 2 and in the state on September 3. He informed that the membership campaign would be run in three phases; the first phase would be from September 2 to 25, the second phase from October 1 to 15 and the active membership campaign would be run from October 16 to 31. A target of enrolling 200 members has been set at each booth. Only one membership is possible from one mobile. For active membership, a worker has to enroll 100 members. BJP will celebrate Atal Membership Parv every Sunday.

On the membership festival, public representatives will make 20 people members around their house. Group specific contact will be organized from 1st to 15th October. In which officers and workers will run a campaign to connect different classes, caste groups with BJP.

During the press conference, regional general secretary and metropolitan in-charge Vijay Pratap Singh, mayor Girish Pati Tripathi, MLA Ramchandra Yadav, Ved Prakash Gupta, Amit Singh Chauhan, district in-charge Mithilesh Tripathi, metropolitan president Kamlesh Srivastava, district president Sanjeev Singh, Rishikesh Upadhyay, Awadhesh Pandey Badal, Abhishek Mishra, district panchayat representative Alok Singh Rohit, block chief association president Shivendra Singh were present.
