Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Based on the trends of Maharashtra Assembly elections, BJP has taken lead on 125 seats on its own. BJP itself is just 20 seats away from the magical majority figure of 145. While ally party Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena is leading on 54 seats. While Ajit Pawar’s party NCP is leading on 40 seats. BJP leadership is excited with these results.
Swearing in ceremony can be organized only on 26th
The swearing-in ceremony of the new government can take place in the state within three days. According to BJP sources, a meeting of MLAs will be called on Monday i.e. 25th November. After this, the oath ceremony can be organized only on 26th November.
Who will be the new Chief Minister of the state?
Apart from this, there is a plan to organize a joint meeting of Mahayuti alliance on 25th itself. Till now Mahayuti has lead on more than 220 seats in the state. With this, celebrations have started in BJP offices from Mumbai to Delhi. Meanwhile, speculations have also started about who will be the new Chief Minister of the state. When Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis was asked about this, he said that the Mahayuti alliance will take a decision on this. Eknath Shinde has also not given any clear answer in this regard. But his party has definitely staked claim on the post of Chief Minister.
