BJP targets Aam Aadmi Party over video recording of court proceedings

New Delhi, June 15 (HS). The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has targeted the Aam Aadmi Party for video recording the court proceedings. The BJP has alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party disregarded the court proceedings in the liquor scam. This was a well-planned conspiracy of the Aam Aadmi Party. It was a blow to the court system. When Arvind Kejriwal was arrested, the party leaders illegally recorded the video of the court proceedings and presented it in a distorted manner to the public. The court has reprimanded them for this.

In a press conference on Saturday, newly elected Lok Sabha member Kamaljit Sahrawat presented the legal side of the matter. Kamaljit Sahrawat said that in a public interest petition, the Delhi High Court has directed the social media platforms to remove the video and audio of the court illegally made by Kejriwal's party and MLAs on March 28, 2024. Recording the court proceedings is prohibited.

Kamaljit Sehrawat said that Kejriwal was arrested on 21 March 2024. To mislead the public, when he was produced before the court on 28 March 2024, he again gave false statements, which his wife and his ministers, MLAs illegally made a video of the court proceedings and tried to mislead the public by sharing it on social media.

BJP's Lok Sabha member Sehrawat said that making political statements in the court on March 28 and recording them was a well-planned conspiracy of the Aam Aadmi Party, it was a blow to the court system. Delhi State BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that the entire Aam Aadmi Party is nurtured by Marxist thinking and such people neither respect the court nor the administration. That is why today corruption along with anarchy is visible everywhere in the Delhi government.

Advocate Amit Tiwari said that there are two pillars of Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal's politics – first is lying and second is playing the victim card to hide their corruption. From 2015 to 2022, Aam Aadmi Party or its leaders never alleged that their MLAs were given any kind of inducement by the BJP.
