BJP expels former deputy CM KS Eshwarappa: BJP has suspended Karnataka rebel leader KS Eshwarappa from the party for 6 years. Eshwarappa rebelled when his son was not given a ticket from Haveri Lok Sabha seat. He was so angry with BJP that he filed his candidature to contest elections from Shivamogga as an independent candidate. For this reason the party has now taken action against him. BS Yediyurappa's son BY Raghavendra is the BJP candidate from Shivamogga seat. That means Eshwarappa will contest against Raghavendra as an independent candidate. Voting will be held in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in Shivamogga.

He demanded to give ticket to his son from Haveri seat.

Former Deputy CM of Karnataka Eshwarappa had announced his retirement from politics some time ago. But he demanded to give ticket to his son from Haveri seat. When his son did not get the ticket, he expressed his displeasure against BJP leader and former CM Yediyurappa and announced to contest the elections against Yediyurappa's son.

Making this announcement, Eshwarappa said that BJP is not in a good position in Karnataka. The people and party workers of Karnataka are in favor of BJP but the system here is very bad.

KS Eshwarappa accuses BS Yediyurappa of nepotism

KS Eshwarappa accused BS Yediyurappa of nepotism and said that PM Modi says that the Congress party is in the hands of a family but the same is true about BJP in Karnataka. Karnataka BJP is also controlled by the same family. We have to oppose this.

When Eshwarappa, angry with BJP, filed his candidature from Shivamogga, Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself asked him to withdraw his nomination but he did not agree.

Now BJP has issued a letter regarding action against KS Eshwarappa. It said that Eshwarappa has decided to contest this Lok Sabha election as an independent, going against the party protocol. Due to which the party has been ruined. After this the party has taken this action and he has been suspended from the party for 6 years.

Now what did Eshwarappa say?

On the issue of suspension from BJP, KS Eshwarappa said, I have decided to contest elections as an independent candidate. I still have hope. I have no fear of suspension. He further said, I will contest the elections as an independent and after winning, I will return to BJP. I have contested elections on the lotus symbol five times.
