Jammu, 3 December (Hindustan Reporter). BJP spokesperson Dr Abhijeet Jasrotia sharply criticized former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti and accused them of indulging in divisive politics and ignoring the principles of secularism during crucial moments of Kashmir’s history. .

Citing the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s and the Nadimarg massacre of 2003, Dr. Jasrotia alleged that these leaders prioritized political gains over justice. He said during these dark chapters, the leadership remained silent while the rights and security of minorities were trampled on.

He criticized Mehbooba Mufti’s handling of the 2008 Amarnath land dispute, questioning her refusal to follow High Court directions and the unrest that followed. He said his version of secularism conveniently ignored the plight of the people affected by his policies. In contrast, Dr. Jasrotia highlighted the Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas approach of the BJP-led government which he said has promoted inclusive growth across all communities.

He said from lifting 25 crore people out of poverty to ensuring equal benefits for Geeta Devi and Salma Begum, this government has shown that true secularism lies in unity and progress. Urging to reject divisive politics, Dr. Jasrotia called upon citizens to support leaders committed to peace, harmony and development of Jammu and Kashmir.
