Many candidates, including Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sanjeev Sharma, Samajwadi Party candidate Singh Raj and AIMIM's Ravi Gautam, filed their nomination papers for the Ghaziabad Assembly by-election on the last day on Friday. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Sanjeev Sharma first held a meeting with workers and businessmen at the election office located at Navyug Market. After this he reached the Collectorate and filed his nomination papers there. During this time, Mayor Sunita Dayal was prominently present with him. Samajwadi Party candidate Singh Raj also filed his letter. During this time, Samajwadi Party District President Faisal Hussain, Metropolitan President Virendra Yadav, Congress District President Manish Tyagi, Metropolitan President Vijay Chaudhary were prominently present with him. AIMIM candidate Ravi Gautam also filed his nomination papers. District President Manmohan Gama was present with him.
Apart from this, those who filed nomination papers today include Kulbhushan Tyagi Independent, Pawan Samrat Mihir Bhoj Samaj Party, Vinay Kumar Sharma Independent, Mithun Jaiswal Independent, Smt. Poonam Hindusthan Nirman Dal, Gayadeen Ahirwal Rashtriya Bahujan Congress Party, Som Pratap Gehlot All India Arya Sabha, Virendra Kumar of Public Political Party and Satyam Sharma were nominated as independent candidates.
