BJP protests in North Bengal against Sandeshkhali incident – ​​News India Live

Cooch Behar, 15 February (HS). BJP organized agitation across North Bengal on Thursday in protest against Sandeshkhali incident. Apart from this, on Wednesday, there was tension at Sagardighi Chowk regarding the protest program outside the Superintendent of Police office in Cooch Behar in the case of harassment and arrest of BJP state president Sukant Majumdar. On this day, the procession left the district office of BJP and traveled through Cooch Behar city and reached near the SP office. The BJP broke the first barricade and tried to break the second barricade at Sagardighi intersection, leading to tension. During this period, police clashed with BJP workers. However later the situation came under control.

Cooch Behar District President of BJP Sukumar Roy said that along with Sandeshkhali, BJP leaders, workers and common people are being attacked in the entire state. Police is not taking any action. That is why protests are being held against the police today.

On the other hand, BJP workers surrounded the office of Jalpaiguri District Superintendent of Police. BJP leaders and workers once again attacked the Maldah District Collector office.

In Karanjora of Raiganj, BJP workers and supporters broke the barricade adjacent to the SP office. Later, BJP leaders and workers sat on the road following the party's instructions.

At around 2 pm, more than 500 BJP workers-supporters left for Karanjora SP office. Party's District President Vasudev Sarkar, Vice President Nimai Kaviraj and other leaders were present in the procession.
