BJP President JP Nadda resigns from Rajya Sabha, know why

BJP President JP Nadda has resigned from the membership of Rajya Sabha. His resignation has been given by the Rajya Sabha Chairman.

JP Nadda was elected unopposed as Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat 13 days ago on 20 February. His tenure was short.

However, according to the rules, if a member is elected from another seat, he has to resign from the old seat within 14 days. Therefore Nadda has resigned from Himachal Pradesh seat.

Jagat Prakash Nadda, elected member of the Rajya Sabha representing the state of Himachal Pradesh, resigned from his seat in the Rajya Sabha and his resignation was accepted by the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha on March 4, the Rajya Sabha bulletin said.

Let us tell you that JP Nadda is one of the 57 Rajya Sabha MPs whose tenure is ending in the month of April. After this he will take oath as Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat seat.

This time four BJP MPs from Gujarat state have been elected to Rajya Sabha. Which includes party president JP Nadda, Jaswant Singh Parmar, Mayank Nayak and Govindbhai Dholakia.
