Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from West Bengal Samik Bhattacharya on Tuesday said illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar who have settled in the state and around the Atomic Energy Institute pose a threat to internal security. This is a serious issue which is related to the security of the nation.
He alleged that Bangladeshi infiltrators are coming to the state due to the instigation of the West Bengal government.
Speaking during Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, the MP said the presence of illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants is a threat to the country’s security, and he has raised the issue with the state police several times but the state government is not taking any action.
