BJP Mahila Morcha gheraoed Collectorate in protest against increasing atrocities on women | News India

Palamu, 14 August (HS). On Wednesday, BJP Mahila Morcha workers gheraoed the Collectorate and staged an angry demonstration against the corruption, poverty, neglect of farmers, breach of promises, murder and increasing atrocities on women prevailing in the state. Women of the Morcha from across the district participated in it. Earlier, the workers of the Morcha gathered near the Minor Irrigation Office, in which Daltonganj MLA Alok Chaurasia, Panki MLA Shashi Bhushan Mehta, BJP Palamu District President Amit Tiwari, Vinod Singh, Narendra Pandey, program in-charge Seema Singh, Rupa Singh were present. From here, the women marched on foot to the Collectorate and staged an angry demonstration in front of the Collectorate gate and raised slogans against the Hemant government.

Earlier, the in-charge of the program, Seema Singh, said that during the tenure of the Hemant government, 27 women were killed due to dowry harassment in Jharkhand state. 107 women were kidnapped. 51 women were raped and killed. 78 women were killed naturally.

State Vice President of Mahila Morcha, Rupa Singh said that development work has come to a standstill since the coalition government was formed in the state. The coalition government of the state has betrayed the people.
