The political conflict between BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over Rohingya and Bangladeshi immigrants living illegally in Delhi has intensified. The BJP has accused the AAP government of providing government documents to these migrants and using them as vote banks.
BJP’s allegation
Statement of former BJP MP Pravesh Verma
- Pravesh Verma said that the AAP government is preparing illegal immigrants to vote in its favor by providing them ration cards and other government documents.
- He told PTI:
“We all know that these migrants do not vote for BJP. They are your vote bank.”
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva’s allegation
- Sachdeva said that when BJP demanded investigation into illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi voters, Arvind Kejriwal got nervous.

“These illegal infiltrators have been the foundation of AAP’s victory in Delhi elections.”
Statement of BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj
Accused of supporting Rohingya and Bangladeshis
- Bansuri Swaraj on Tuesday took direct aim at the Aam Aadmi Party, saying:
“AAP has brought a loss of Rs 7,000 crore to Delhi by supporting Rohingya and Bangladeshis.”
- He described the policies of the AAP government as an election gimmick.
Question on Sanjeevani Yojana and Mahila Samman Nidhi
- Bansuri said that the AAP government collected personal information of elderly people and women in the name of Sanjeevani Yojana and Mahila Samman Nidhi.
- He alleged that:
“There is no scheme like Sanjeevani Yojana in Delhi. “A registration campaign was conducted before the Lok Sabha elections in the name of Mahila Samman Nidhi, but till now the money has not been credited to her account.”
Accusation of not implementing central schemes
- The BJP alleged that the AAP government did not implement central government welfare programs like the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi.
