BJP made Mohan Lal Baroli the state president, work on new strategy started

Chandigarh, July 9 (HS). MLA from Rai Mohanlal Baroli will be the new president of Haryana BJP. Baroli's appointment was announced on Tuesday. With this appointment, BJP has not only given many political messages in Haryana but has also indicated its future strategy. BJP's entire politics seems to be focused on non-Jat. Till now the command of the state president was with Nayab Singh Saini. BJP has also made its view clear regarding the assembly elections by playing the Brahmin card.

Mohanlal Kaushik is originally from Baroli village of Rai constituency of Sonipat district. Baroli has had a long association with the Sangh. This appointment has been made on the recommendation of former CM and Union Power and Housing and Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal. Naib Singh Saini also met JP Nadda after meeting Haryana's election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday night. It is believed that during the Delhi visit, the CM discussed with the central leadership only about the state president. There was brainstorming in the party for many days regarding the new state president. Apart from caste and regional equations, the party leadership has played the Brahmin card in view of the assembly elections. The central leadership gave the green signal to the name of Baroli, approving the recommendation of CM Naib Singh Saini and former CM and Union Minister Manohar Lal.

The biggest and first challenge before Mohanlal Baroli will be the upcoming assembly elections. The Lok Sabha elections were fought when CM Naib Singh Saini was the state president. The principle of one leader one post remains in BJP. As soon as Naib Singh Saini became the Chief Minister on March 12, it was decided who would be the new head of the party. But due to the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, the party did not change the state president. Prof. Rambilas Sharma was the state president during the 2014 Lok Sabha and assembly elections. Subhash Barala was the state president in the 2019 Lok Sabha and assembly elections. Om Prakash Dhankhar was made the state president in place of Barala and then this responsibility was handed over to Naib Singh Saini in place of Dhankhar.

Who is Mohan Lal Baroli
Baroli entered the assembly for the first time in 2019 by defeating Congress's Jaitirth Dahiya by 2663 votes. Mohanlal Baroli, who was the Mandal President of Murthal in 1995, contested from Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency this time. In a tough contest with Satpal Brahmachari, who became Congress MP from here, Baroli lost the election by a margin of just 21 thousand 816 votes. Satpal Brahmachari got 5 lakh 48 thousand 682 votes and Mohanlal got 5 lakh 26 thousand 866 votes.

Born in 1963 in Baroli village, Mohanlal's father Kaliram Kaushik was a famous poet of the area. He was among the biggest fans of Pandit Lakhmichand. Baroli has been associated with RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) since 1989. He has also been the chairman of Sonipat Zila Parishad. In 2020, he has been the BJP District President in Sonipat and since 2021, he has been continuously holding the post of State General Secretary of the party. It is believed that in view of his organizational experience, the party has handed him the command of the state president.
