BJP made a new strategy in Jammu and Kashmir, will BJP government be formed with this formula? | News India

Nomination of 5 members responsible for LG

According to the rules of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, 90 members will be elected, while 5 members will be nominated. The nomination will be made by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Congress and opposition parties are opposing this. According to Congress Working President Raman Bhalla, these nominations will have an impact on government formation.

According to Jammu and Kashmir BJP's chief spokesperson Sunil Sethi, the LG will nominate these 5 members with the formation of the assembly. This provision is already there. LG can issue a notification in this regard any time on or after October 8. According to the rules, LG can nominate 2 women and 3 Kashmiri displaced Pandits as MLAs. All of them will get the same powers as elected MLAs. All MLAs will be able to vote to form the government.

How can nomination of 5 members be beneficial for BJP?

  • This time, from the trends seen in Jammu and Kashmir, it is difficult for any party to get absolute majority.
  • Nomination of these 5 MLAs can prove beneficial for BJP
  • If BJP somehow reaches the figure of 43, then with the help of these 5, it will easily touch the magic figure of 48 to form the government.
  • These 5 members will be nominated by the LG and are the representatives of the LG Centre.
  • At present, there is a BJP government at the Centre, hence there is no possibility of the nominated members standing in favor of anyone else.

This master plan will reach the figure of 43

  • Assembly elections are being held on a total of 90 seats in Jammu and Kashmir.
  • 43 seats are from Jammu region and 47 seats are from Kashmir region. BJP is in a very strong position in Jammu region.
  • According to Sunil Sethi, chief spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir BJP, BJP is going to become the largest party this time.
  • In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had got lead on 29 seats in Jammu region.
  • The party hopes that its numbers will increase this time. The party is also hoping to win some seats in the valley

Sources associated with BJP say that the party has started contacting those independent MLAs who are in a strong position on the ground. Senior BJP leader Ram Madhav himself is doing this work. In 2014, it was due to the efforts of Ram Madhav that BJP was successful in forming the government with PDP. This time, independent MLAs are expected to win many seats in the valley. Since these independents will be the kingmakers of the government, efforts have started from both sides to woo these independents. After the election results are announced on October 8, efforts to form the government will intensify. If BJP wins even 30-35 seats on its own, then it will be at the forefront in the race to form the government.
