Moradabad, 24 October (Hindustan Reporter). BJP leader Ramveer Singh Thakur will try his luck in the assembly elections for the fourth time. Ramveer Singh has contested elections on BJP ticket from Moradabad Dehat in 2007, Kundarki Assembly of Moradabad in 2012 and 2017. Ramveer Singh had to face defeat in all the three elections. Expressing confidence in Ramveer Singh for the fourth time, BJP has fielded him in the Kundarki Assembly by-election.
By-elections are being held on nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. This also includes Kundarki assembly seat of Moradabad. Senior MP Dr. Ziaur Rahman Burke, grandson of Shafiqur Rahman Burke, won the elections from Kundarki Assembly in the year 2022 on the symbol of Samajwadi Party. SP had made Ziaur Rahman Burke its candidate from Sambhal Lok Sabha in the year 2024, in which he won. After this Ziaur Rahman Burke resigned from Kundarki Assembly and that seat became vacant.
On Thursday, BJP released the list of candidates for seven assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. In this, BJP leader Ramveer Singh, who has contested the assembly elections thrice, has been declared a candidate in the Kundarki assembly by-election.
