Gumla, 25th April (His). An election meeting was organized at Nagar Bhavan on Thursday after Congress candidate Sukhdev Bhagat filed his nomination. While addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Champai Soren strongly targeted BJP and said that BJP is a polygamous party. We need to be careful of this. He is so expert in propaganda that people get confused. This party is giving slogan of 400 paar. If this party is not stopped then BJP will loot the land of tribals and uproot them from forests and coal fields.
He said that the efforts of the BJP government at the Center to amend various laws protecting tribal rights will be strongly opposed. The Chief Minister said that the BJP government has amended the Forest Rights Act. Under which the power of the Gram Sabha has been taken away. Similarly, efforts are also being made to amend the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act and Chhotanagpur. The Center has planned to strategically move tribals out of forests, coal fields and other places through the amendments. The CM claimed that if BJP is not defeated in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the tribals will be uprooted from their lands. Mr. Soren said that former Chief Minister Hemant Soren had understood this strategy of BJP. Hence, he was put in jail over the land issue.
He said the coalition government has worked to strengthen the education, social and economic systems of the state to ensure food, clothing and shelter for all. Shri Soren appealed to all the workers of the grand alliance parties to unite and make candidate Sukhdev Bhagat victorious with an overwhelming majority.
