Chhagan Bhujbal on Lok Sabha Election Result: NCP MLA Chhagan Bhujbal has made a big statement on the defeat in the Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections. Bhujbal also mentioned BJP and Uttar Pradesh in his statement.
We got only two seats: Chhagan Bhujbal
Maharashtra minister Bhujbal said, 'In the Lok Sabha elections, we (NCP) were given only 4 seats out of 48. In which 2 seats were taken away from us. So, out of these 2 seats of Raigad and Baramati, we have won one seat.' Bhujbal further said, 'Now how can anyone say that we contested on 48 seats, we got only 2 seats. BJP also lost in other states like Uttar Pradesh. No one had thought that BJP would get so few seats in Uttar Pradesh. So Ajit Pawar group cannot be blamed.'
There is a lot of turmoil in the state
It is worth noting that assembly elections are also going to be held in Maharashtra in the next few months, due to which there is a lot of turmoil in the state. NCP is being blamed for the defeat of NDA. Sunetra, wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, on Thursday filed her nomination papers as a NCP candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. A few days ago, she lost the election from Baramati Lok Sabha seat.
