CAA Update: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a big statement regarding CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act). Amit Shah said that no matter what anyone does, CAA will not be withdrawn under any circumstances. Along with this, Amit Shah said that ensuring Indian citizenship in our country is a sovereign right, in which we will not make any kind of compromise.
Mamta warned- In an interview given to news agency ANI, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also hit back at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's statement on CAA notification. Amit Shah said that the day is not far when BJP will come to power in West Bengal and stop infiltration.
Amit Shah gave this message- Amit Shah further said that if Mamata politicizes this issue and stands against such an important issue of national security, then it is very wrong. Mamata Banerjee indulges in infiltration by doing appeasement politics and opposes CAA. Amit Shah said that if the refugees do not get citizenship then they will not live with them. Mamata Banerjee does not know the difference between a refugee and an infiltrator.
It is impossible to cancel CAA- Amit Shah said, CAA has been brought by Modi government and it is impossible to cancel it. He accused the opposition leaders of doing appeasement politics. Amit Shah raised questions on the opposition and said, do they have the right to refuse to implement it?
They also understand that they have no rights. In our Constitution, only the Parliament has been given the right to make laws regarding citizenship. This is a central subject, not a state subject.
Opposition criticized – It is noteworthy that the Center had notified the rules for the implementation of CAA earlier this week. This bill was passed by the Parliament in December 2019.
After the Center notified the rules for implementing the CAA, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the law and said they would not implement it in their states. The Congress criticized the Center over the timing of the implementation of the CAA, saying the rules have been deliberately notified ahead of the Lok Sabha elections to be held in April-May this year.
