Lucknow, 25 November (HS). On the violence in Sambhal and the death of four people in police firing, Congress protested against the BJP government by tying black bands at all the district headquarters. In Lucknow, under the leadership of State Congress President Ajay Rai, the protest was demonstrated silently by sitting in front of the statue of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi located in the courtyard of the Congress headquarters, with black bands tied on their hands.
After protesting, State Congress President Ajay Rai said that trying to create discrimination, oppression and division while in power is neither humane nor constitutional. The unfortunate thing is that the Chief Minister of the state, Yogi, who has disgusting and hateful thinking like if you divide, you will be divided, has created a deep rift in the entire society. He said that the Yogi government wants to remain in power only by dividing Hindus and Muslims and wants to completely destroy the social fabric.
He said that this dispute in Sambhal district exposes the biased, dictatorial and hateful face of the Yogi government. The hasty and insensitive action taken without listening to all the parties not only spoiled the atmosphere but also led to the death of many people. Rai said that the Congress Party demands that a thorough investigation of the above incident should be conducted by a sitting judge of the Hoi Court and strict action should be taken against the culprits.
In the protest program, former MLA Shyam Kishore Shukla, Indal Rawat, State Congress Vice President, Incharge Administration Dinesh Singh, State General Secretary Mukesh Singh Chauhan, Arshad Khurshid, State Secretary Atul Singh, Major Rana Shivam Singh, District Congress Committee President Ved Prakash Tripathi, City Congress Committee Chairman Amit Srivastava Tyagi etc. were included.
