Recently, Lok Sabha elections were held in the country and India Alliance also presented a big challenge to the BJP-led NDA. NDA got the majority but India Alliance also got 235 seats. The opposition alliance also performed brilliantly in Maharashtra. Amidst all this, 41 out of 48 seats were won. Before the Lok Sabha elections, two big leaders of Maharashtra politics, Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar, had to face a split in the party. However, they are very happy with the election results coming in their favor and are also dreaming of defeating the NDA in the next assembly elections.
Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar have ordered their party leaders, officials and workers to prepare for the assembly elections. Sharad Pawar has also started going among the public. Pawar has started holding meetings with farmers and villagers in different villages. Amidst all this, Sharad Pawar said in a conversation with farmers and villagers that wait for four or six months, I want to change the government in the state. Everyone will have to take to the streets to solve the problems of the farmers.
Sharad Pawar spoke to drought-affected farmers in Kolvihira of Purandar taluk. He said that you can observe the rule for four-six months. I want to change the government in the state. Unless this government changes, we will not be able to implement the policies we want for farmers. When the government changes, we will work for the farmers.
Pawar said that he does not think that the current Shiv Sena-BJP-ACP government understands these problems. Pointing to the assembly elections, he said that if our demands are not heeded, then the right to policy making should be handed over to us in the next four to six months.
