BJP complains about Jitu Patwari to the Election Commission, demands ban on election campaign

Bhopal, 3 May (HS). A BJP delegation on Friday complained to the Election Commission of India about the indecent remarks made by Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari against former state minister and senior BJP leader Imarti Devi. Along with the complaint, the video of Jitu Patwari has also been submitted to the Election Commission.

The BJP delegation, in a memorandum submitted to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh in Arera Hills, Bhopal, said that Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari's statement regarding BJP's woman leader Imarti Devi shows a petty mentality. Insulting Dalits and especially women has become the tradition of the Congress Party. Jitu Patwari has defied the court by sharing the photo of the family of the girl victim in a gangrape case on his social media account. Jitu Patwari has also made indecent remarks about Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.

Therefore, Bharatiya Janata Party demands from the Election Commission that the Election Commission should immediately ban the election campaign of Jitu Patwari, so that the unrestrained statements of Patwari can be stopped and the creation of animosity among different sections of the society can also be prevented.

The complaining delegation included Mayor Malti Rai, State Vice President Seema Singh, State Coordinator of Election Commission Coordination Department S.S. Uppal and state media panelist Advocate Gunjan Choukse were included.
