BJP captures DCF after 45 years, Rakesh Singh Algu becomes chairman

Varanasi, 29 February (HS). BJP won the post of Chairman of District Cooperative Federation Limited (DCF) after 45 years. On Thursday, BJP candidate Rakesh Singh Algu was declared elected unopposed after nomination. It was already decided that former BJP district president Rakesh Singh Algu would become the chairman in the DCF elections.

There was a bustling atmosphere outside the DCF office located in the Cooperative Building at Nadesar since 10.30 am. After nomination, no one else filed the nomination within the stipulated time. After which the returning officer declared him elected unopposed.

After the victory, Algu Singh expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State Minister Ravindra Jaiswal, Cooperation Minister JPS Rathore, BJP Regional President Dilip Patel, MLC and local District President of BJP Hansraj Vishwakarma. After the victory, Algu Singh said that victory has been achieved after 45 years with the support of BJP.

After becoming the Chairman, Algu Singh also held a board meeting. He said that the cooperative will be made like the Gujarat model and the interests of all board members will be protected. BJP District President Hansraj Vishwakarma, former MLC Chetnarayan Singh, election in-charge BJP Arun Singh, RP Kushwaha, Somnath Vishwakarma, Pindra MLA Dr Awadhesh Singh, former District Panchayat President Sujit Singh 'Doctor' etc. were also present in the nomination for the election of the Chairman.
