Ballia, 08 May (Hindus). On the second day of nomination for Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate from Salempur Ravinder Kushwaha filed nomination papers. He is the BJP candidate for the third time from Salempur.
BJP's Ravinder Kushwaha filed his nomination papers before Returning Officer Ojaswi Raj from Salempur Lok Sabha constituency. The District Panchayat President of Deoria was also with him. Before this, a nomination meeting was held in Sukhpura. In which Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak participated. At the same time, strict security arrangements and barricading were made around the Collectorate premises for the nomination by the candidate of a big political party. Entry was being given inside only after checking with metal detector at the main gate. Intensive checking by the police administration continued throughout the day. Entry of unauthorized persons was prohibited. Waiting room and medical help desk have also been established near the Collectorate office.
It is noteworthy that the last date for taking forms and filing nomination is May 14. Due to 11th and 12th May 2024 being government public holidays, the work of collecting nomination papers and filing names will not be done on this day. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on May 15. Candidates can return their names on 17th May.
