Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary celebrated as Tribal Pride Day celebration

Haridwar, 15 November (HS). Tribal Pride Day celebration was organized in development block Bahadarabad to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, famous as Dharti Abba.

District Magistrate Karmendra Singh welcomed Rajya Sabha member Dr. Kalpana Saini by giving him a bouquet. Chief guest Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Kalpana Saini, District Magistrate Karmendra Singh and Block Chief Asha Negi inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. After this, welcome song, Garhwali and Jaunsari folk dance were presented by the school girls in the welcome ceremony. During this, he handed over nutrition kits, Ayushman cards, gas cylinders like Ujwal Yojana and keys of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the beneficiaries of the district. During this, I virtually joined the foundation stone laying ceremony of schemes worth Rs 6900 crore by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar and watched the live telecast of the programme.

Chief guest Dr. Kalpana Saini, in her address, while paying tribute to Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary, said that Birsa Munda ji is a symbol of bravery, courage, bravery and sacrifice of the tribal communities of the country. We did not get this freedom as a gift, but many sacrifices were made for it, in whatever areas the tribal tribes reside, they protected the forests, production and their culture with indomitable courage.

District Magistrate Karmendra Singh, while throwing light on the biography of Dharti Abba Lord Birsa, said that today the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda is being celebrated in the entire country as Tribal Pride Day. Birsa Munda had done a great job in his young age by sacrificing his life for our country, our culture, our traditions, our values. He said that Tribal Pride Day is celebrated every year with the aim of preserving the cultural heritage of the tribal community, promoting national pride, bravery and Indian values. This day of honoring tribal pride is an opportunity to pay tribute to all the freedom fighters of the country and also to honor the contribution of the tribal society.

The District Magistrate said that a total of five tribals reside in the state. One of them, Buxa tribe, lives in our district Haridwar. There are nine settlements in four gram sabhas in Haridwar district, in which a total of 874 families live. According to Sarv, 3952 people live in that village.

Social Welfare, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry Department, Self Help Groups, Renewable Energy (UREDA), Health, Rural Industries Velocity Growth Project, Horticulture and Food Processing, Post Office, Women, in a multi-purpose camp in the courtyard of Bahadarabad Block on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day celebration. Kalyan etc. displayed their products through stalls and also gave detailed information to the visitors regarding the public welfare schemes being run by the government.
