Bio Milk will meet the milk needs of the country's growing population, Center released Bio E-3 policy – News India Live | News India

New Delhi: Seeing the possibilities of meeting the future needs in the field of biotechnology, the central government has now decided to move ahead rapidly in this field. Under this, the government has released the country's first Bio E-3 (economy, environment, employment) policy. Under this, there is a preparation to deal with every challenge faced by common life including milk, food items, environment. At present, with the expansion of this new sector, people will get the biggest benefit of bio milk in the coming days. It will be animal free, which will not only fulfill the milk requirement of the growing population but will also be healthy.

Union Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh released the country's first Bio E-3 policy on Saturday and said that the new industrial revolution in the world will be in the field of biotechnology and bio manufacturing. India will lead it. He said that like the IT revolution, talking about bio-milk and bio-agrifood (bio-agrifood) may still be a surprising thing for people, but future needs will be met through this. This will start becoming visible in the next five to ten years. The availability of milk for the country's nearly 140 crore population is 459 grams per person per day.

To collect this milk, more than 30 crore cows, more than two crore sheep-goats and other animals have been reared in the country. According to the report, the demand for milk for the country's population will increase in the coming days, but its supply will not be met by rearing more animals. But for this, options like bio milk will have to be adopted. This milk will be prepared from bio products. No chemicals will be used. The main focus of the policy is to take the country out of the challenges of environment and climate change along with the food needs of the country. In such a situation, emphasis has also been laid on preparing bio plastic in place of plastic, which will be easily destroyed. Also, this will not cause any harm to the environment. Under this, the focus of the policy is on accelerating the production of medicines, absorbing carbon and preparing related products. Under the policy, creating a new environment for biomanufacturing in the country, preparing rules related to it and encouraging industries entering this field are included.

Biomanufacturing industry will be worth more than Rs 335 lakh crore

According to the policy, according to the future prospects in the field of bio-manufacturing, this industry is estimated to be more than Rs 335 lakh crore in the coming days. Currently, 15 ministries and departments are engaged in accelerating the field of biotechnology. This also includes the IT Ministry, which will promote the use of AI in the field of biotechnology.
