Bike rider killed, two injured after being hit by car in Lower Parel | News India

Mumbai: A young man riding a scooter died after being hit by a car in a road accident in Lower Parel on Sunday afternoon. Two other youths travelling with him in a tripper were seriously injured.

Ayush Kailash Singh, Shivam Kamlesh Singh and Vishal Prem Bahadur Singh, residents of Worli, were going on a scooter in a triple ride. At around 2 pm, they reached the Matulya Naka traffic signal near Curry Road. When he was turning right from there, a car hit him.

All three were rushed to hospital. However, 20-year-old Ayush Singh was declared dead before reaching the hospital. Two other youths were treated for serious injuries.

According to police sources, the driver of the car, Manish Chandrabhanu Singh, a resident of Kurla, has been arrested.

N.M. Joshi Marg police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
