Haridwar, September 19 (HS). A bike rider died on the spot in a collision between a truck and a bike on Thursday in Sidkul police station area. Police reached the spot after getting the information and took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. The truck driver fled from the spot after the incident.
In fact, Naveen Kumar (29) son of Bishan Ram, resident of village Mali Nali, police station Dhaulsina, district Almora, working in Pentagon Mall Wave Cinema, was going somewhere on his bike. Meanwhile, a speeding truck hit his bike on the road going to Bahadarabad ahead of Raja Biscuit Chowk. Bike rider Naveen died on the spot after coming under the truck's tyre. Police informed the deceased's relative Mahesh Lal and took the truck into custody. Police is engaged in searching for the absconding truck driver.
