UP News: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday night. Here Nanpara Mamlatdar’s car crushed the bike rider. A biker was hit by a government vehicle and his body was allegedly thrown for 30 km. The victim has been identified as Narendra Kumar, 35, resident of Payagpur. Narendra was returning home from Nanpara-Bahraich road on Friday evening when the accident happened. According to information received from the police, the victim’s body got stuck in the vehicle and was dragged for a long distance. Naib Mamlatdar Shailesh Kumari was present in the car during this accident.

According to the information, District Magistrate Monica Rani has recommended suspension of Naib Mamlatdar Shailesh Kumar Awasthi, who was present in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Driver Meraj Ahmed has been arrested. Confirming the incident, Superintendent of Police Vrinda Shukla said, ‘At the time of the accident, the location of deceased Narendra Halder and Mamlatdar’s driver Meraj Ahmed was tracked and it was confirmed that the deceased was dragged for 30 kilometers to Nanpara.’
The incident was investigated
Terming the incident as gross negligence, the officer said, ‘There is very little possibility that a body could remain stuck in a vehicle for 30 kilometers and no one would notice. It is possible that the vehicle may not have been stopped even after the accident. A thorough investigation is being conducted to obtain information about the basic circumstances of the accident.
Investigation was done on the basis of CCTV
Giving information about the entire case, the SP said, ‘Police are examining the CCTV footage installed on the 30 kilometer road to find out the facts of the incident. In the complaint lodged in this case, the family members of the deceased have mentioned the Mamlatdar’s car.
District Officer Monica Rani said, ‘The case of collision between car and bike has come to our notice. In which Naib Mamlatdar of Nanpara had come to Bahraich in Mamlatdar’s car for some work and was returning to Nanpara. Information has also been received about the deceased in the accident, who remained trapped in the car till Nanpara and kept dragging for 30 kilometers. However, according to Naib Mamlatdar, he was not aware of this. However, it has been recommended to suspend Naib Mamlatdar who was present in the car.
