Bihar Weather Update Today: Cold has taken hold in Bihar. The effect of snowfall in the hilly areas of North India is clearly visible in the state. There is a continuous decline in temperature along with westerly winds, due to which the problems of the common people have increased. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of dense fog in 12 districts of the state.
In which districts will there be dense fog?
The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of dense fog in Saharsa, Supaul, Katihar, East and West Champaran, Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj, Saran, Gopalganj, Madhepura, and Siwan districts. Cold wave may also occur in these districts, due to which the effect of cold will be felt more.
Banka becomes the coldest district
Banka district was the coldest region of Bihar in the last 24 hours, where the minimum temperature 5.4 degrees Celsius were recorded.
- Patna: Minimum temperature less than 10 degrees Celsius.
- Kishanganj: Highest temperature 25 degree Celsius.

Melting cold in Kosi and Seemanchal
A rapid decline in day and night temperatures is being recorded in Kosi and Seemanchal regions of Bihar. Melting cold is felt due to icy winds. People are trying to escape the cold by lighting bonfires on the roadside. The administration and health department have advised people to wear warm clothes and stay safe.
Air quality is also bad
With winter, air quality has also declined in many districts of Bihar.
