A sudden fire broke out due to loading in the transformer located in Patna Civil Court complex. The lawyers sitting below were in shock. There is news of death of one of them, although it has not been confirmed yet. Three lawyers were burnt and seriously injured in the accident. Many other lawyers have also been affected by the fire. After the accident, angry lawyers have gone on strike against the district administration.
Many lawyers were standing at the spot
According to initial information, this horrific accident happened at around 2.45 pm in the Patna Civil Court complex located near Gandhi Maidan. When the lawyers were standing in the court premises after the court proceedings, a nearby transformer exploded and caught fire, injuring several lawyers. In which one lawyer died, while many lawyers were seriously injured.
Fire brigade engaged in extinguishing the fire
According to the information received, three lawyers standing near the transformer were badly burnt. Advocate Devendra Kumar died on the spot. Two others have been admitted to PMCH for treatment. On receiving the information, the fire brigade vehicle reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire in the transformer. Here, after the blast, the lawyers created a ruckus in the court premises.
The condition of one injured is serious
One death confirmed, lawyer Devendra Peermuhani died at the scene. While seven others including three lawyers and seven clients were injured. Among the injured, Jitendra's condition is very serious. Angry lawyers have surrounded the police vehicle and all the lawyers are sitting on strike, there is an atmosphere of chaos in the entire campus. The lawyers are demanding to call the DM and the Chief Justice on the spot. The lawyers have decided to boycott work.
