West Champaran (H.I.S.), 30 September (H.I.S.). Congress party raised its voice against smart meter from Chautarwa, it is not a smart meter but a blood sucking meter.
Former Bagaha candidate from Congress Party, Jayesh Mangalam Singh alias Jai Singh said on Monday that the smart meter of Bihar government is a blood sucking meter. He was addressing a huge public meeting at Sagar Pokhara complex located at Chowtarwa Chowk on NH 727 main road, where thousands of people were present.
Giving a message of peace to the Bihar government through a huge public meeting, he said that the way the government has made 200 units of free electricity in various states including Delhi. Similarly, make 200 units of electricity free in Bihar also. Smart meters should be removed from Bagaha and Bihar also, otherwise mass movement will start in entire Bihar along with Bagaha. The Congress leader said that there is a wave of revolution in the state against smart meters. The people of Champaran have now become aware of their rights and entitlements. The government should free 200 units of electricity by removing smart meters and streamline the existing meters.
He said that the government should stop smart meters in Bagaha, otherwise there will be a huge public movement against smart meters from Bagaha. The women who came to the public meeting also unanimously opposed smart meters and said that smart meters are worse than cancer, which is ruining the families of poor people. The Congress leader took the initiative to make the women of Bagaha assembly constituency empowered and self-reliant. Said that sisters should also become self-reliant and raise their voice strongly against smart meters.
