Patna, 01 November (HS). By-elections are to be held in four assembly constituencies in Bihar on November 13. The hottest seat in this by-election is Tarari assembly seat of Bhojpur district, from where Sudama Prasad was the MLA from Male. By-election is being held here after his victory from Arrah Lok Sabha seat in 2024. There is a direct contest between the NDA-Grand Alliance candidates in Tarari. However, Prashant Kishor's Jansuraj has also fielded a candidate from here.

In Tarari, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has fielded BJP's Vishal Prashant as its candidate. Vishal is the son of Baahubali Sunil Pandey. INDIA has fielded CPIML's Raju Yadav from here. Prashant Kishor's party 'Jan Suraj' is also in the fray. From here he has given ticket to Kiran Singh. Local people say that there is a direct contest between NDA and INDIA alliance here. Tarari assembly seat has the highest number of Bhumihar voters. In second place are the voters of backward and extremely backward castes. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see which way the votes of these communities will go.

According to the local people, Sunil Pandey has done a lot of work for this area. On the other hand, Raju Yadav seems to be getting support from backward castes. Talking about voters in Tarari assembly seat, there are 2 lakh 60000 voters in this assembly seat, out of which 01 lakh 40 thousand are male and 01 lakh 20 thousand are female voters. Talking about caste equation, Bhumihar caste has the highest population in Tarari assembly seat. Vishal Prashant comes from the Bhumihar caste. There are approximately 65 thousand Bhumihar voters. At second place are Brahmin voters, whose number is around 30 thousand. The number of Rajput voters is around 20 thousand. The population of backward and extremely backward castes is between 45 to 50 thousand. Apart from this, Yadav voters are around 30 thousand, Bania 25 thousand, Kushwaha 15 thousand and Muslim voters are around 20 thousand.

According to senior journalist and political expert Arun Pandey, Sunil Pandey has a good hold on this seat. Sunil Pandey has been working on the ground in this area. In such a situation, it is believed that the public may be more inclined towards Sunil Pandey. Senior journalist Praveen Baghi said that under the leadership of Sunil Pandey, a conference was also organized in Tarari assembly constituency, in which state president Dilip Jaiswal participated. He has represented there but in forward-backward politics, the contest here is mainly seen between Vishal and Raju Yadav.

It is noteworthy that the most positive thing with NDA is that the five constituent parties of the alliance are showing strong unity. The Grand Alliance has three seats out of four, hence the problems of the Grand Alliance have increased. Because, this election is sure to have an impact on the upcoming assembly elections also. Whichever alliance wins more seats will have the upper hand.
