News India Live, Digital Desk: Sounding the trumpet of 2025 election battle on the soil of Bihar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a huge rally in Jamui today. In his familiar style, he made a scathing attack on the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar is now completely free from the ‘red terror’ of Naxalism.

He roared from the stage and said, “Remember those days when many areas of Bihar used to tremble with fear of Naxalites in the evening. There was no development, only an atmosphere of fear and terror. But today I can proudly say that Narendra Modi ji has freed Bihar from this scourge of Naxalism.”

Direct attack on Lalu-Nitish’s ‘Jungle Raj’

Amit Shah focused a large part of his speech on reminding the old days of Bihar. He said that there was a time when Bihar had become synonymous with ‘Jungle Raj’. Kidnapping, murder and looting were common. Targeting the Lalu-Nitish duo, he said that these people have pushed Bihar decades behind in the race of development and only promoted casteism and corruption.

Shah asked the public, “Do you want that ‘Jungle Raj’ again? Do you want an atmosphere of fear in Bihar again?” When ‘no-no’ sounds came from the crowd, he said, “Then in 2025, the lotus will have to bloom once again and Bihar will have to move forward on the path of development.”

Enumerated the works of Modi government

The Home Minister also presented the account of the development works done in Bihar in the last 10 years. He said that Prime Minister Modi gave special packages to Bihar, built roads, provided electricity and built houses for the poor. He said, “This is not Lalu-Nitish’s government, this is Modi’s government, it does what it says. We have fulfilled what we promised. We have ended Red Terror from Bihar, now we have to completely end ‘Bahubali Raj’ from here as well.”

In view of the 2025 assembly elections, this rally of Amit Shah is being considered as the official start of BJP’s election campaign. He has made it clear that this time BJP will make the end of Naxalism and the fear of return of ‘Jungle Raj’ its main election issue.
