Saharsa, 20 August (HS). Training and information was given regarding the “Bihar Krishi” app in Krishi Bhawan campus. The “Bihar Krishi” app is an integrated digital farmer service platform, which aims to promote modern agricultural technology.
It will work as a digital interface, which will guide the farmers in taking advantage of all the government schemes related to the agriculture department. Through this app, farmers will be able to access online applications for all agriculture related schemes, weather information, agricultural advisory services, market prices of agricultural produce, financial services and other services.
At the district headquarters, training on “Bihar Krishi” app was given by Mr. Sandeep Jeshi from Patna headquarters to all farmer advisors, ATMA, agriculture coordinators, block project managers, (Jeevika), block horticulture officers, all block agriculture officers, district project manager, (Jeevika), all assistant directors, agriculture department, sub-divisional agriculture officers, Sadar and Simri Bakhtiyarpur, senior scientist-cum-head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Agwanpur and progressive farmers present. They will download the “Bihar Krishi App” from the Play Store as told by them. After that, farmers will create their profile by entering their registration number.
After creating the profile, detailed information about all the schemes related to the Agriculture Department will be displayed. Till now, some farmers were deprived of departmental facilities and grants. For their convenience, on the direction of the state government, the Agriculture Department advised to connect to the “Bihar Krishi App”. Till now, farmers were dependent on departmental employees to get facilities. For this work, they had to visit the block many times, now this has been resolved. Agriculture coordinators and farmer advisors have been directed to connect the mobiles of as many farmers as possible under their panchayat to the Bihar Krishi App, so that they can get food, seeds, agricultural equipment as well as other facilities.
During the training, District Agriculture Officer, Shri Gyan Chand Sharma will make all the concerned workers and officers get serious training regarding the app and will make the farmers aware of the process of applying to avail the benefits of all the schemes.
