BIGBLOCK CONSTRUCTION LTD: Star Bigblock Building Materials Limited, a subsidiary of Bigblock Construction Limited, has recently placed an order for installation of 800 kW solar rooftop power plant at its Kheda unit.
Additionally, a 1350 kW solar rooftop system will be installed at the newly established facility under a joint venture with Siam Cement Bigblock Construction Technologies Pvt. Ltd. With a total investment of Rs 7.23 crore, the installation is expected to be completed by the end of the financial year.
Bigblock Construction Limited's commitment towards green initiatives aims to promote sustainable environment and reduce carbon footprint. Implementing solar power plants across all of its manufacturing facilities is in line with the company's goal of creating a green future.
Earlier the company has successfully installed 700 KW rooftop solar power project at Umargaon plant and 625 KW rooftop solar power project at Wada plant. With this announcement of new order of additional 2150 kW, BigBlock's total solar capacity will now reach approximately 3475 kW across the company and its subsidiaries. This initiative highlights the company's dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and pursuing renewable energy solutions.

Established in the year 2015, Bigblock Construction Limited is one of the largest and only listed companies in the Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) block sector. The company's manufacturing plants are located at Umargaon (Vapi) and Kapadvanj (Ahmedabad) in Gujarat and Wada (Palghar) in Maharashtra.
