The agitating students have got a big victory in Prayagraj. UPPSC has accepted their demands. Now the examination of PCS and RO/ARO has been postponed. With this, now the PCS exam will be conducted in a single shift. Students were protesting in Prayagraj since Monday. CM Yogi considered the demands of the students. UPPSC has taken this decision only on the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi. The Chief Minister has asked the Commission to take necessary decisions after consulting and coordinating with the students. Now it has been decided to conduct the PCS Preliminary Exam 2024 in one day and one shift. A committee will be formed for RO-ARO. The committee will submit its detailed report soon after considering all the aspects.

Let us tell you that Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has decided to conduct the PCS Prelims 2024 and RO-ARP Prelims-2023 examination in two shifts in two days. The demand of the competing students was that the preliminary examinations of UP PCS 2024 and RO-ARO 2023 should be conducted on the same day and in the same shift as before. He said that if the examination is conducted for 2 days then they will suffer from normalcy.

On November 11, candidates from Delhi to UP took to the streets to protest against the decision. The protesting students were adamant on the demand of ‘one day one exam’. The students were demanding abolition of the normalization system in UPPSC exams. He argues that the Public Service Commission’s method of normalization is not appropriate.
