Big news related to Pakistan is coming out. Today itself, in the beginning of April, the common people have got a big shock. Petrol prices have been increased. The price of petrol has increased by Rs 9.66.
The price of petrol has increased by Pakistani rupees 9.66 to Rs 289.41. Whereas high speed diesel has decreased by Rs 3.32 to 282.24 Pakistani rupees. New rates have also been implemented.
The government has said that the reason for the increase in petrol prices in the country is the increase in international petrol prices. Actually, the government reviews fuel prices every 15 days and increases or decreases them based on fluctuations in global oil prices and the exchange rate of the local currency.
On March 16, the Pakistani government did not make any change in the prices of petrol and diesel. The price of petrol per liter was Rs 279.75 and the price of one liter diesel was Rs 285.56. That means the price of petrol has increased by about Rs 9 in 15 days.
Petrol is mostly used in personal transport, small vehicles. Due to this, the rate increase will have a direct impact on the middle class and lower class people of Pakistan. Diesel is used in transport vehicles like trains, trucks and buses. Due to this increase in transportation costs, prices of other goods will also increase. The middle and lower classes will also have to bear the brunt of this.
