According to the court's decision, Sanjay Singh will also be able to participate in political activities. The case was heard by a bench of three judges in the Supreme Court. The bench had asked the ED why there is a need to still keep Sanjay Singh in jail? Sanjay Singh's lawyer told the court that money laundering has not been confirmed and the money trail has not been detected. Despite this, Sanjay Singh has been in jail for 6 months.
Let us tell you that the Supreme Court was hearing the petition of Sanjay Singh challenging his arrest and remand in the money laundering case. The Supreme Court bench accepted the submission of AAP MP's lawyer that no money was recovered from Sanjay Singh and the allegations of taking bribe of Rs 2 crore against him can be investigated.
Let us tell you that Sanjay Singh was arrested by ED on October 4 last year. ED had opposed the bail plea of AAP MP in the High Court. Sanjay Singh sought bail on the grounds that he has been in custody for more than three months and has no role in the crime.
