Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the 7th budget of the country today. During her budget speech in Parliament, Sitharaman made many big announcements. For which the people of the country were eagerly waiting. During the general budget, the Finance Minister said that we have 9 priorities for a developed India.
Relief from stamp duty
Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget today. In which an important announcement was made regarding property. Especially for women. It has been announced that there will be exemption in stamp duty during registration on buying property in the name of women. This can provide great relief to the poor in the stamp duty levied on registration while buying a house.
Discount on registration in the name of women
It is worth noting that the Finance Minister has decided to give relief in stamp duty on property purchase. The Finance Minister has proposed exemption in stamp duty on registration of properties in the name of women. Nirmala Sitharaman further said that the government will consider reducing the fee on purchase of house and property for women and making it an integral part of urban development schemes. Presenting the budget, she said that the government will encourage the states to reduce the fee on properties purchased by women.
New houses under PM Awas Yojana
The Finance Minister further said that 3 crore houses will be built in villages and cities under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He also said that central assistance of Rs 2.2 lakh crore has been proposed for urban housing in the next five years. The Finance Minister also said that the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme has received a significant response and 1.8 crore people have registered under it.
