Big relief for students! Now schools will remain closed for these many days, Education Department issued order

school break: There is good news for school students. The Haryana government has declared a holiday in all government and non-government schools today on 31st July on the occasion of Shaheed Udham Singh Martyrdom Day. This holiday is a gazetted holiday declared by the Haryana government. During this time not only schools but also colleges and government offices will remain closed.

Holiday declared in Uttarakhand due to heavy rains

Due to heavy rains and landslides, a holiday has been declared in all schools in Dehradun and Nainital of Uttarakhand today on Wednesday. In Rishikesh, many schools located on the Kanwar Yatra route including Haripurkalan, Raiwala, Pratitnagar, Nepali Farm, Shyampur will remain closed on 31st July. Haridwar DM Dhiraj Singh Garbyal has also ordered closure of all schools in the district till August 2. During this time, a one-day holiday has been declared in all government, semi-government and private schools (all educational institutions running from class 1 to 12) and all Anganwadi centers.

Schools closed in UP till August 2 due to Kanwar Yatra

Apart from this, due to the Kanwar Yatra, it has been decided to keep all primary, secondary, CBSE and ICSE board-recognized schools closed till August 2 in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Noida, Amroha, Meerut, Hapur, Ghaziabad, Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar of UP. If anyone opens a school during this time, action will be taken against them. In Saharanpur and Shamli too, orders have been issued to keep all primary, upper primary, secondary, CBSE ICSE board-recognized schools, madrasas, degree colleges, DIET, technical institutes closed till August 2.

Schools will remain closed for so many days in the month of August

There will be 4 Sundays in the month of August – 4 August, 11 August, 18 August and 25 August. Schools will also remain closed on the occasion of Independence Day/Parsi New Year on 15 August 2024, Rakshabandhan on 19 August and Janmashtami on 26 August. Apart from this, in some places schools will also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays.

There will be holidays on 4 Sundays and 3 festivals in the month of August. 2nd August is celebrated as the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Pingali Venkaiah, Hiroshima Day on 6th August, Quit India Movement Day on 8th August, International Youth Day on 12th August, Women's Equality Day on 26th August and National Sports Day on 29th August, hence holidays can be declared in many states.
