Pathankot : The fare for the train ticket from Pathankot to Amritsar (Pathankot to Amritsar Train), which was earlier Rs 55, has been reduced. This has brought relief to those going to Amritsar, Jalandhar or Udhampur. Railways has restored the old pre-Covid fare of passenger trains. Although the Railways had issued the order on February 21, the New Delhi headquarters issued its order in writing late in the evening of March 13. After this, Railways implemented it on 14 March.

After the Railways restored the old fares of passenger trains, there has been a difference of five times in the bus and train fares in the said cities. There is a wave of happiness among the daily passengers after paying the fare by the Railways. Passengers said that they did not expect that the Railways would restore the old fares of passenger trains.

By doing this, Railways has given relief to crores of daily travelers of the country. Pathankot Railway official said that from March 14, tickets are being distributed to the passengers according to the old fare.
