Big news regarding Lok Sabha elections 2024, dates will be announced after March 13, know in how many phases voting will take place

New Delhi: Big news has come out regarding the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates. According to sources, the Election Commission can announce the dates of Lok Sabha elections any day after March 13. 2024 Lok Sabha elections may be held in 7-8 phases. Election Commission sources said that the Commission is visiting several states to review the preparations for the general elections and the dates will be announced after its completion.

The Commission has been holding regular meetings with Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of all states over the past few months to assess the preparedness. Officials said the CEO listed out the problem areas, movement of EVMs, their need for security forces, tight surveillance at the borders. At present the officials are visiting Tamil Nadu, after which Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir will be visited. The tour of the state has to be completed before March 13.
