Haryana Assembly Elections: BJP has surprised everyone by winning the Haryana Assembly elections for the third consecutive time. BJP, which is facing many challenges in the state, has achieved majority by giving results contrary to the exit polls. However, even after this spectacular victory, big news has come for BJP. Actually, eight ministers of CM Nayab Singh Saini could not save their seats. In which senior leaders like State Finance Minister Jai Prakash, Agriculture Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar and Health Minister Kamal Gupta are also included.
Eight ministers of BJP lost
Even after a hat-trick in Haryana, BJP stalwarts could not save their seats. In which BJP candidate and Minister of State Subhash Sudha was defeated by Congress candidate Ashok Arora from Thanesar Assembly seat of Haryana by a margin of more than three thousand votes. Agriculture Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar has lost the election from Jagadhri seat. He was defeated by Congress candidate Akram Khan by a margin of seven thousand votes. Minister of State for Irrigation and Water Resources Abhay Singh Yad Nangal Chaudhary lost to Congress candidate Manju Chaudhary by six thousand votes.
Congress's Nirmal Singh defeated Minister of State for Panchayat Aseem Goyal by more than 11 thousand votes from Ambala seat. Finance Minister Jai Prakash also lost from Loharu seat to Congress's Rajbir Fartia by a margin of 792 votes. Health Minister Kamal Gupta lost the Hisar seat to independent candidate Savitri Jindal. Minister of State for Sports Sanjay Singh lost to Congress candidate Aftab Ahmed from Nuh seat. Former Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta lost the Panchkula seat, defeating Congress candidate Chandramohan Bishnoi by a margin of 1997 votes.
