On one hand, the government is making tall claims of conducting the NEET exam with complete cleanliness and in a better manner, while on the other hand, the negligence of the National Testing Agency (NTA) is showing no sign of stopping. Just before the NEET UG examination which is going to be held across the country, a shocking incident has come to light which has shocked the student and his family. Actually, Abdullah, a candidate from Nagpur, has been directly allotted the exam center of Abu Dhabi (UAE) instead of India due to a major technical lapse of NTA.
Only one day left for exams, impossible to go abroad in 24 hours
Now only a few hours are left for the exams to start, in such a situation the students and their families are going through deep anxiety and mental stress. The victim student Abdullah had given first priority to his home town Nagpur while filling the examination form and earlier he had got the center in Nagpur only. But this time, while issuing the admit card, NTA ordered him to go abroad directly. Now the biggest crisis is that it is completely impossible for any ordinary student to arrange passport, visa and air ticket within just 24 hours and go abroad to take the examination.
NTA admitted technical mistake, complaint lodged on helpline
As soon as Abdullah’s family got information about this serious irregularity, they immediately contacted the official helpline of NTA and lodged their complaint. After the complaint, instead of patting themselves on the back, the officials have accepted this huge blunder as a ‘technical error’. The agency has assured that the examination center of the student will be changed as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency has also announced that all the important and up-to-date information related to NEET UG re-examination will be sent to the students through their official WhatsApp channel, so that any confusion can be avoided.
