Naxalites have attacked a vehicle carrying soldiers in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. 8 Dantewada DRG soldiers were martyred in the attack. A driver also died. Bastar Range IG has confirmed this.
IG Bastar Range Sundarraj P said that the joint operation party was returning from Bijapur. Today at around 2.30 pm, Naxalites blasted an IED near Ambeli village.
Giving information, IG Bastar said that 9 people including 8 DRG jawans and a driver of Dantewada died due to IED blast by Naxalites in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. He was returning from a joint operation of Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bijapur.
