After this high-profile meeting, it has become clear that the cabinet is going to be expanded in Bihar soon.

Emperor’s ‘cabinet’ will be decorated after floor test

According to sources, the Bihar cabinet can be expanded immediately after the ‘Floor Test’ to be held on 24 April 2026. The names of possible ministers have been discussed in detail in the meeting held in Delhi. There is talk that new ministers may take oath in the first week of May. At present, Samrat Chaudhary holds 29 important departments, while Deputy CM Vijay Chaudhary and Bijendra Yadav hold 10 and 8 departments respectively. Through cabinet expansion, the distribution of departments will be balanced so that the work of the government speeds up.

Glimpse of ‘social engineering’ in BJP’s new list

Special attention has been given to ‘social engineering’ in the probable list of ministers being prepared by BJP. It is being told that this time youth and new faces can be given preference in the new team. The party’s focus is on wooing the OBC, EBC and Dalit communities in view of the upcoming elections. In the Delhi meeting, the final approval has been given on the names which are to be given place in the cabinet. Now we are just waiting to get time from the Governor and complete the formalities of the floor test.

Jugalbandi of Nitish Kumar and Samrat Chaudhary

Even though there has been a change of power in Bihar, efforts for coordination are continuing within the NDA. Recently, Nitish Kumar himself met Samrat Chaudhary at his residence. NDA has an overwhelming majority of 201 MLAs in Bihar Assembly, due to which the government does not see any threat in the floor test. Samrat Chaudhary’s visit to Delhi and his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi shows that he has full support from the Center also.

All eyes are on these big names

There is a lot of discussion about the names of Nitin Naveen, Shahnawaz Hussain and some other prominent leaders from BJP quota in the cabinet expansion. At the same time, some new ministers can also be included from JDU quota. Samrat Chaudhary’s effort is to prepare a team that can bring the vision of ‘Developed Bihar’ to fruition. This expansion after the floor test will decide the new direction of Bihar politics.
