Central and state governments are continuously launching new schemes to empower women in the country. In this series, Telangana government has started Indiramma Mahila Shakti Yojana for women of minority community. This scheme has been launched under Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation (TSMFC). The objective of this scheme is to make women of minority communities self-reliant by providing them free sewing machines.

The objective of this scheme is to motivate women from minority groups to start sewing machine business. Through this, an effort has been made to empower women financially and make them self-reliant.

Women from the following minority communities can apply for Indiramma Mahila Shakti Yojana:
- Muslim
- Sikh
- Buddhist
- Jain
- Parsi
Prerequisites
- Women will have to complete a sewing machine training program.
- Must have a certified training certificate in sewing or tailoring from an institute affiliated to TSMFC.
- Minority community certificate is necessary.
Eligibility Criteria
According to Telangana State Minority Finance Corporation, women must fulfill the following conditions to avail the benefits of the scheme:
- Economic situation:
- Annual income should not exceed Rs 2 lakh in urban areas.
- Annual income should not exceed Rs 1.5 lakh in rural areas.
- Age Limit:
- The age of women should be between 18 to 55 years.
- Educational Qualification:
- Minimum education should be class 5 pass.
- Other priorities:
- Poor, homeless, widow, divorced and orphan women will be given priority in the scheme.
- White ration card and food security card is mandatory.

- Fill out the form completely.
