A three-match Test series will be played between India and New Zealand. The first match will be played from 16th October. BCCI has announced the team for this series on October 11. Many young players have also got a chance in the Indian team. The board has selected 15 core members for the series, while 4 players have been selected as reserves.

BCCI has also given opportunity to Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Prasidh Krishna as reserve players. There is little possibility of these players being included in the playing eleven. But if any player gets injured in the last 15, then these players can get a place. Prasidh Krishna has played Test for India, while Mayank Yadav, Harshit Rana and Nitish Kumar Reddy have not got a chance to make their Test debut.
